Rebecca Yarwood is a graduate of the Aveda Institute. She has worked behind the chair as a Master Stylist, and as a Stylist Educator and Trainer for more than twenty-five years.

As her career advanced, Rebecca developed a passion for the art of hair color and a love for teaching. This led her to a position with Aveda, where she served as Regional Hair Color Educator for thirteen years. She traveled the upper Midwest where she taught Stylists and mentored Stylist Educators in their own salons. Rebecca’s philosophy is that the teacher is also the student. She appreciates that through educating others, she continues to stretch her own skill-set and grow her artistry, and she gains satisfaction from sharing this insight with other Stylists. Leveraging many talents and experiences in her roles as owner, manager and a professional stylist, Rebecca is happy to using these skills on the Rue 48 Salon team!

The magazine’s 16th annual SALON TODAY 200 issue profiled the selected salons in its January 2013 edition. The 200 salons were selected for their best business practices from applications submitted by SALON TODAY readers, who represent the 25,000 top-producing salons and spas in the country.

The magazine honored applicants in 11 different best practice categories, including Advanced Education, Compensation & Benefits, Customer Service, Environmental Sustainability, Philanthropy, Planned Profitability, Recruitment & Training, Retail & Merchandising, Retention & Referral Programs, Technology and Growth.

Rue 48 Salon - Aveda Concept was honored in the following category: Growth

“Our editors recognize that strong business leadership requires the mastery of a number of different best business practices,” said Stacey Soble, editor-in-chief of SALON TODAY. “The salons named to the SALON TODAY 200 for 2013 not only proved they excel in one or more or more of these areas, they also have created rewarding environments for their staff members and standout experiences for their clients. Their willingness to share their success offers our readers important business benchmarks and inspirational sales-building ideas.”
